This is a tricky one. We have to address this on a case-by-case basis.
We understand that a lot of projects are in the backyard, and you want your product as close to your project site as possible. For this reason, we have a large fleet of vehicles, each with different capacities and restrictions.
Our picker truck is able to drop product in a backyard, granted there is plenty of room for the truck to set up, the fence is not too high, and there are no overhead power lines or trees.
It ultimately comes down to driver discretion when the request is to have product dropped over a fence. If there is reduced visibility over a tall fence, obstructions on the other side affecting safe placement, or a lack of space to properly set up, our drivers will have to refuse due to safety concerns. They will attempt to reach out to the customer to make alternative plans, and work with you to still drop the product in a convenient location.
The moffett on the flat deck truck is able to enter a side or back yard as long as there is at least 10 feet of clearance. Operation of the moffett on uneven ground, or on long trips is under the discretion of the driver, and customers should understand that there may be damage to soft ground if the customer directs the driver to operate the moffett on a lawn.
Our dump trucks are not able to dump in a backyard or side yard unless there is adequate space for the vehicle to enter, and no curbs or sidewalks that need to be crossed. This usually excludes all deliveries except for acreages, rural properties, and newly built subdivisions.
