Geogrids are used in retaining walls that exceed a predetermined height and/or are affected by other forces that may have an impact on how the retaining wall performs.

Typically, retaining walls are reinforced every two courses – or every 12-24” depending upon the retaining wall block you are using. The process of laying Geogrid should be started just after the first row of blocks are installed, filled and compacted (if the block requires it), and adjusted for level.
